The Point 9 team are looking for Team Leaders in Learning difficulties sector urgently required for jobs in Hampshire (Near Aldershot)
The role will be: Assisting the Service Manager and Assistant Service Manager in providing a good quality of service to our People Supported, which gives a high standard of professional practice.
Meeting the personal care needs of People Supported, in a way in which promotes dignity, privacy, safety and independence.
Ensuring the effective use of resources in providing support.
Leading & Directing the support staff team, reporting to you to achieve these goals.
Knowledge of Policies and Procedures and to ensure that all practices within the Service comply with these.
Meeting professional and legal responsibilities, with regard to Health and Safety issues. Ensuring the security and confidentiality of records and information relating to the service.
Ensuring that records required by the Care Quality Commission are completed and kept safely in the organisation.
Participating in training activities within the Service as directed by the Project and Assistant managers’ and to ensure that your statutory training requirements are up-to-date.
Attending staff, internal and external meetings as required by the company's management.
To compile and manage the day-to-day management of staff rotas. To hold regular staff supervisions and to maintain confidential information from these sessions.
To participate in the out-of-hours on-call.
You will need to have previously supervised/mentored and ideally be NVQ3 qualified in care, (Level 2 is essential)
The salary is £18340 plus enhancements for weekend and on call duties.
Car driver is essential and must be prepared to work within Hampshire and Surrey and unsociable hours, sleepins and weekends on occasion.
About you: Must have previous experience in the role Must be able to complete satisfactory CRB/POVA checks Must be authorised to work in the EEC.
