Shaheena at Point 9 is looking out for an Experienced Deputy Manager who will be required to assist the Home Manager in the running of this large home based Near Stockport On Severn.

To apply for this exciting new role : You must have previous management experience. You must posses strong management skills as you will be required to act up in the absence of the Home Manager. You must demonstrate an interest in the total care of elderly people and have an understanding of their particular and individual needs. In addition to all the duties and responsibilities, for a Registered General Nurse, the Deputy will also be expected to be involved in the implementation of Company policies and the direction and management of nursing and care staff.
The organisation of the Home and attitude of the staff should reflect the need for Residents to achieve and maintain maximum independence. Staff should, therefore, be flexible and sensitive in the approach to all aspects of care.
The Deputy will maintain a quiet, calm atmosphere in the Home and, by encouragement and example, foster a happy team spirit to ensure the well-being of the Residents and staff.
All trained staff will be expected to help with in-service training of unqualified staff and to keep abreast of current post-registration training themselves and produce their own portfolios.
In the absence of the Manager, the Deputy will be expected to maintain the general day-to-day running of the Home. They will be expected to provide continuity of care, as laid down by the procedures operating within the Home and be available to offer support and advice to all other members of staff, Residents and relatives.
It is essential that you have a current RGN or RMN qualification.
Salary: c£12.50 - £13.00/hr
